Development of engineering documentation

KMD engineering is the engineering of metal structures at the stage of developing the overall project documentation. Structures made of low- and medium-carbon steel, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals and their alloys have long been used in construction, repair, and industry. The physical and mechanical properties of these materials make it possible to give buildings, structures, machines, and equipment unique architectural forms while ensuring high strength and resistance to corrosion, dirt, dust, abrasive particles, and aggressive chemicals. It is also important to note that metal structures are easy to assemble and relatively lightweight. Preparing engineering documentation requires significant experience and qualified specialists—services provided by the manufacturing company “New Standard.”

Project and engineering documentation — what it includes

Depending on the Customer’s requirements and wishes, as well as the specifics of the metal structure, the engineering documentation may include:

  • general information about the product, including all required performance characteristics;
  • technical characteristics, indicators of external influences, and mechanical loads on the structure during operation;
  • structural solutions;
  • part and assembly drawings, layouts of main parts and working assemblies;
  • material specifications for manufacturing the structure, including required metal stock (steel grades, profile dimensions, sheet thickness, cross-section, sizes, and more);
  • information on anticorrosion protection and thermal insulation methods;
  • material specifications with exact quantities and an explanatory note with technical calculations.

KMD drawings can be produced for the manufacture of:

  • metal structures for power-line supports, mobile communication towers, floodlight masts, supports for antennas and lighting systems, and other tall engineering structures;
  • process overpasses, service galleries, and pipelines for transporting liquids and gases;
  • structures for industrial facilities, hangars, warehouses, and shop floors;
  • structures for residential, warehouse, and office buildings and facilities;
  • technological structures and facilities;
  • water towers and process tanks.
