Manufacturing of guides

Guides are technical elements and assemblies that ensure the movement of other components along a specified trajectory. They are widely used in industry and engineering and can provide both linear motion of loads and movement along more complex trajectories with minimal friction. The company New Standard offers guide manufacturing according to individual dimensions.

Classification of Guides

  • Linear guides — used for machining operations that require a high level of precision.
  • Rack guides — used in heavy equipment, warehouse systems, mining, and industrial machinery.
  • Profile guides — feature high resistance to mechanical loads during operation.
  • Sliding guides — ensure smooth movement of machine elements, raw materials, workpieces, and semi-finished products.
  • Rolling guides — an ideal choice for performing precise technological operations.
  • Bushing and ring guides — used in the design of specialized equipment.

In modern engineering, guides are widely used in the design of metal-cutting machines, automated production lines, robotics, construction, municipal and maintenance equipment, industrial machinery, laboratory equipment, mining, processing and machining equipment, as well as agricultural machinery.

Manufacturing of Guides | Materials

  • High-strength alloy steel — can undergo hardening and grinding to increase precision.
  • Gray cast iron — features high rigidity and wear resistance and is a classic material for manufacturing sliding guides.
  • Bronze and other non-ferrous metal–based alloys — have a high level of thermal conductivity.
  • Aluminum alloys — are characterized by low specific weight and sufficient strength.
  • Polymer materials — are used to reduce weight and noise levels during operation.

Main Stages of Guide Manufacturing

Turnkey manufacturing of guides at New Standard is carried out in several stages. At the first stage, the customer submits drawings or a sample, based on which specialists develop the technical specification and design documentation. If necessary, comments and clarifications are introduced, after which the project is reviewed and approved for further manufacturing.

After the technical specification is approved, the company proceeds with guide manufacturing. At each production stage, quality control specialists verify compliance with the approved technical specification. Upon completion, the guides are accepted by the quality control department and shipped to the customer to any location in Ukraine.

Cost of Guide Manufacturing | Key Parameters

  • agreement with the customer on the manufacturing material;
  • type of guides — linear, profile, and others;
  • order volume and number of guides;
  • technical complexity of the product;
  • order lead time.

To calculate the cost of guide manufacturing, it is recommended to contact New Standard specialists by phone or email. The calculation is performed based on technical documentation, material requirements, tolerances, and operating conditions of the product.
